You are invited to attend the launch of a new research report by Comhlámh based on quantitative data emerging from an online survey issued to volunteer sending agencies (VSAs) in Ireland.
The new report presents an up to date picture of the state of VSAs in Ireland, the profile of international volunteers and documents challenges to overseas volunteering. It builds on the data and findings from the previous survey of VSAs commissioned by Comhlámh “New Evidence on Overseas Volunteering from Ireland and its Socio-Economic Impact in Ireland”.
Comhlámh are delighted that the global pioneer and author on the research and practice of online or virtual volunteering Jayne Cravens will be delivering a seminar as part of the research launch. Jayne’s work is focused on communications, volunteer involvement, community engagement, and management for nonprofits, NGOs, and government initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about online volunteering, to discover how it can benefit both VSAs and volunteers and to hear Jayne speak in Ireland for the first time on this dynamic and growing aspect of international volunteering.
This event will be of particular interest to volunteering sending agencies, especially staff involved in volunteer recruitment, programme design, evaluation and volunteer management.
Please note this launch and seminar is free to attend but places are limited and must be confirmed in advance by RSVPing [email protected]
