The Dympna Meaney Women’s Leadership Skills Development Bursary has supported three development activists from Ethiopia in accessing training in Leadership Skills.
Martha Yigezu, Mebrat Yosef and Zehara Seid, all of whom work with Concern Worldwide in Ethiopia will be attending their 3 day course in July 2015. Building confidence and leadership skills is fundamental to women’s empowerment.
The workshop will define critical elements of leadership for women in business and community organizations. It aims to contribute to a better understanding of the world and build leadership skills that are both empowering and effective.
The skills practiced during the training workshop will help participants to acquire skills every leader needs to understand the unwritten rules of corporate culture emulate successful leaders advocate for self overcome stereotype tendencies find that balance between life and work and use proven leadership techniques to negotiate conflicts.
