Comhlamh Action Network in Cork is holding a conference in the Silver Springs Moran Hotel, Cork, on Friday 13 January to review the WTO talks and explore whether there is a way forward for agricultural policy to the common advantage of farmers in the developed and developing world.
Three developing farmer representatives from Africa, Asia and the Americas will join with Irish farmers, NGOs, politicians, academics, researchers and consumers to assess the impact of the WTO on farming.
The aim of the conference is to put into perspective the likely winners and losers from the ongoing WTO talks and to discuss the potential for a fairer trading system for farmers around the world.

Cost is only 35 euro, including lunch, 25 euro for Comhlamh members, 15 euro for students and the unwaged.
