This course is designed for people who are interested in global development and who want to get involved in working for a better world in Ireland.

 It will be especially relevant for people who have experience working or volunteering overseas and want to:

-    Explore that experience and use it as a springboard for continuing their involvement in working for a better world from Ireland;
-    Continue to support the people they have met and worked with while overseas;
-    Consider and discuss how to make lifestyle choices based on their principles and values;
-    Learn about development work happening in Ireland;
-    Network and share experiences with others.

People with an interest in global development issues are also welcome. Practical skills covered in the course will include how to talk about and present your experience overseas to a variety of audiences, how to use images and create videos, writing skills, how to influence the media, campaigning and solidarity work, and other areas dependent on the key priorities and interests of the workshop participants.
