Comhlámh has continued to play a key role in bringing a global perspective to public debates in Ireland - based on the experience of development workers and our members. It has done this by directly engaging in campaigns and by building up the skills of development educators and campaigners throughout Ireland. Comhlámh has been to the fore in shaping key public issues including trade justice, meeting the 0.7% aid commitment and the role of the development worker overseas. Our Volunteering Options and Development Education Programmes play a vital role in engaging and informing people from all backgrounds and all life stages about the Global South and the impact of development.
