300 Year Old Tailors’ Hall in Dublin to Host Halloween Ball Fundraiser for Anti-Racism Project

Music, magic, make-up and monsters!

Comhlámh (pronounced ‘co-law-ve’), the Irish organisation that for 31 years has been campaigning and lobbying on human rights and global justice issues, is hosting a Halloween Ball fundraiser for its Anti-Racism Project on Friday 27th October in the suitably spooky and atmospheric Tailor’s Hall, near Christchurch, in Dublin.

The evening begins with ghostly waltzing and gets into full groove with a truly eclectic mix of live music and performance, from trad to hip-hop, tribal belly-dancing to Latin funk.

In the vaults beneath, Comhlámh have summoned together some of Ireland’s most danceable DJs, including Firehouse Skank and the Rootical Sound System, to create their own alchemy and as much heat as the three hundred year old stone walls can take!

The ivy-covered courtyard will host further tricks and treats, costumes and masks are encouraged and Halloween makeovers will also be available on the night.

When: Friday October 27th from 9pm to 2am
Where: Tailors’ Hall, Back Lane, Dublin 8 (close to Christchurch and opposite where Mother Redcaps used to be)
Tickets: a very reasonable 20 euro
To book your tickets, please contact: Alice-Mary Higgins or Francesco De Salvia at Comhlámh, T: 01 4783490, E: alicemary@comhlamh.org.

Great fun for a great cause! Just a few days to go! Only a few tickets left! So get cracking!

NOTE TO EDITORS

Originally founded by returned development workers, Comhlámh (the name means 'solidarity') have been campaigning and educating for a more just and equitable world for thirty-one years.

The Comhlámh Anti-Racism Project seeks to challenge Racism in Ireland through education, advocacy and awareness-raising. The project provides invaluable training, education, and information: in schools, community groups and amongst the general public. Comhlámh also advocate and campaign on public policy and consistently work to promote positive interculturalism in all aspects of Irish society. Through our Le Chéile Artists in Ireland Against Racism initiative we also emphasise the role of the arts in creatively challenging Racism in Irish society.
