Job Description
MSF works in over 60 countries worldwide providing emergency medical and
health care to people affected by conflict, natural diasters, or epidemics.
In response to needs in the field, we are seeking to recruit midwives
for periods of 9-12 months to fill vacancies in a variety of contexts and
locations.
Essential requirements:
Commitment to the aims and values
of MSF
Current and valid registration with An Bord Altranais
Minimum of
three months' travel or work experience in developing countries
Proven
professional experience post registration
Experience in supervising and
training others
Ability to cope with stress
Flexible and adaptable
Fluent English
Desirable requirements:
Knowlege of other
languages particularly French, Spanish, Portugese, Russian, Arabic
Experience in family planning
Knowledge of STDS/HIV and AIDS
Previous experience with an NGO
Tropical nursing experience
