Counselling Information Service

Comhlámh offers you information and advice about accessing counselling in Ireland as well as providing reference details of skilled counsellors for you. If you feel that you would benefit from counselling or would like to discuss whether this would be an appropraite option for you, get in touch with Janet, Comhlámh's Information and Support Project Officer.

Why take up counselling?

The period after returning from an overseas assignment can be a fruitful time to engage in counselling.  It provides an opportunity to work through some ‘old’ issues which may have come to the fore while overseas or to talk out issues relating to the assignment, such as security problems, stress, trauma or illness.

You don't have to have experienced a 'crisis' to benefit from counselling. Appropriate counselling can be helpful if you are in the process of re-adapting to life at 'home' which, for many, presents more challenges than being overseas.

Accessing Counselling

Accessing counselling in Ireland can seem tricky. There are a wide range of options available but not always as much information and support to help you make an informed decision about choosing the right counselling service for you.
At Comhlámh we seek to support you in accessing the best counselling service to meet your needs, providing information and support to consider a range of issues such as finances, standards, methodologies etc.

Please note: This service is provided in the strictest of confidence.
