Many of you will be aware of Eilish Dillon, she works as the Co-ordinator of Education and Training Programmes at Kimmage DSC.

She was also a member of Comhlámh in Cork, where they took on the might of the Irish farming lobby and put together guidebooks for action.

In this video she told us how:

I was involved in Comhlámh in the 1990’s. Most of my involvement in Comhlámh in Cork… There we had a very active group of people who were keen on campaigning on global development issues. On of the key features of my involvement in Comhlámh at the time was that it was basically run by, led by, and driven by the members. I learned my analysis of global development from my engagement and involvement with Comhlámh but more than that I learned that small groups of people getting together can make a difference.
