Volunteer Ireland works to promote, celebrate and facilitate volunteering and represents the network of over 20 Volunteer Centres in Ireland.
Volunteer Ireland facilitates volunteering through training, services and the placement of volunteers through a network of over 20 Volunteer Centres across Ireland and through the national online database found on www.volunteer.ie. It also promotes and celebrates volunteering through national campaigns such as the National Volunteering Week and The Ireland Involved Awards.
The focus of Volunteer Ireland is to create an enabling environment for volunteering, to develop an ethos of volunteerism across all sectors of society and to be an independent and legitimate voice for volunteering. Working with the local Volunteer Centres, volunteer-involving organisations and volunteers, Volunteer Ireland is a powerful advocate for volunteering in Ireland.
The directory of local volunteer centres and national online database for volunteering is found at www.volunteer.ie
